It was most breath-taking

the 12 given Wordle Words:
bones trouble
hearth (the floor of a fireplace)
weeping wilderness cry bread
withered grass, come answer
reproach (the expression of disapproval).

What a relief now that
we are at the bottom
It was most breath-taking
up there
make no bones about it
it was a mountain-top
viewing phenomena
A sight to behold

Nature-lovers were however
troubled seeing the hearth
of rubbish on the ground
the weeping wilderness
a far cry of the scenic scene
above

stale bread upon withered grass
empty bottles and torn boxes
among them

Despite the love for
conservation come a look
of reproach was no answer
they were losing out
to anti-social elements

These people found it
convenient to have the
environment dressed up
with all sorts of remnants
upon leaving the scene

  1. Campers who leave their trash are disgusting.

  2. Oh to imagine humans making the effort to get to such beautiful places only to disrespect Mother Nature. Bad karma comes to them who treat our home so poorly.

  3. Between trash and development the scene all around us has changed dramatically! Nature has been defiled so often. There are a few places where the scene is still real and beautiful as ever!

  4. Ugh, it's so horrible when that happens. An important topic captured in a great poem. Thank you for sharing!
