Braving the rough seas

                                                                                    Artist: Christoffer W Eckersberg
Image: The corvette Najaden in rough seas (here)

Walls of water, waves
lashing the sides of the ship
Braving the rough seas

Hidden sun dark clouds
and stormy seas all vying
to make presence felt

Far from shore, sailors
cowered in safety of bunks
Silent in prayers

  1. If the sea wants to sink you, not a whole lot you can do. Brave indeed to set upon it
