Being Duly Prepared

                                                                                  Author: Holly Booth

Having the right kind of tools at hand
Just simple housewife kinds easy to find
True to form, like wearing other's shoes
Easy to use to knock off the blues

We should not choose to restrain
It'll be an education if we can feel the pain
The universe is there to garner the facts
Hold on to it yet, and give it a check

The whole world to see where it leads
Go for a  wholesome thrust till it bleeds
No holds barred, no wisdom marred.
Give it all you’ve got, give it a shot.

When you’re done, reflect on your wants
If it’s tough give it a laugh
Venture out and push for a long ride
You never know until you've tried

  1. Walking in another's shoes, reflection and giving it a good shot, all wise things to do...for you never know until you tried! :)

  2. I think it's hard to wear someone else shoes but, I do feel it gives one a new perspective. There is wisdom in you words. Sometimes you just have to try.

    1. Hank is great True, Ma'am. Remembering all those years at Pat's when we met every day. Missed the friendly banter!

  4. Wise words, Hank. We are capable of so many things that we have not tried. For me, this week....it was spackling on crown molding. Who knew!

  5. Yup, we need to push ourselves. Sometimes it's surprising what one can accomplish. As they say, the only failed writer is the one who gives up. And that could be said of anybody and their dream.
