creativity would necessarily draw on talents

the 12 given words:
numb longer soften still coffee mountains
buildings sad painting each hand even

Midweek Motif  -  shoes

Numb with fear he no longer cared
Softened his attitude but not by choice
Was still caught in a web ensnared
Sipped his coffee devoid of voice

Would it be 'mountains' or 'buildings'?
To get a general theme decidedly hard
Debating on a rural or urban setting
Sadly a dilemma for a painting to start

Each would impose peculiar restrictions
Ideas and colors hand in hand ran counter
Saving device was modern art and 'impressions'
'Writer's block' for an artist was less of a bother

To be in the shoes of a poet would make it even
As creativity would necessarily draw on talents

  1. We take the pain and fear along with the courage and joy, don't we? Not even sure about talent, we create because we must. This poem surely made me think.

  4. Artists do have dilemmas and question their attitudes hopefully they make their own choices, break the rules sometimes and produce art.

  6. It is a good practice to put ourselves in another's shoe every once in a while to make us more sympathetic of other people.
