Oak and Steel ( a haiku)

Bare bench yielding life

Of strong oak and hard dark steel

Had seen better days

A measure of nerve

Whispering tenacity

Show me where it lies

Sequence of events

Witnessed silently therein

Secrets kept within

Inspired by Ella's Edge at Thursday Think Tank #51

  3. Kaykuala, a thoughtful poem. Old benches, like old people, have probably had better days; but there is beauty in that aged oak and steel.

  8. Kaykuala,

This captures so much of what is captured within the 'spirit' of the bench.

    Best wishes, Eileen
